a/c controls help in cherokee 99

somebody help me

My cherokee sport 99

when turn on the a/c at low speed the air flows in front of the dashboard, but when accel the engine stops to flow in the front and flow in the defroster zone ( up in the dashboard )
then desaccel and the air flows again in the front of the dashboard

any help or comment will be apreciated

The doors that direct the flow are vacuume operated. So, what you are experiancing is a loss of vacuume. You will need to find where that is...could be one of the diaphams on the door actuators, could be the control head, could be in the engine compartment. Check all vaccume lines and the canister...this will be a big coffie can or ball with one vacuume line going to it under the hood...for broken lines or fittings. Then go under the dash and listen for a hissing sound when the engine is running. Happy hunting.

yyeeeaaa I found the problem for my cherokee xj it´s the canister.
I found a hole in the bottom side of the bowl. Now I have great A/C
freeezzeeee...... thanks for your help
