Polishing Cloth
Did a search and didn't come up with anything, guess it's not an FAQ or anything. After use, can you clean up a polishing cloth to get off all the paint/compound/wax, and use it again on another model, or is that not a good idea?

Always use those cloths wet with a little soap and they won't clog so badly. use some dish soap and a tooth brush and it should clean up pretty well

Re: Polishing Cloth
I just use a cut up pair of old gym shorts as a polishing cloth! So I just chuck 'em in the washing machine. Don't know about the expensive purpose made polishing cloths.

Re: Polishing Cloth
Micro mesh call them cushioned or padded abrasives... Semantics.
But are you sure what the originator of this thread meant? Who uses padded abrasives with compound/wax? |

Re: Polishing Cloth
I think he's just talking about polishing CLOTH. So rallyraider's gym shorts would count, lol.
btw, I would just wash them in the washing machine with other towels. That what I did with mine, and they still looked fine. |

LOL! In that case the answer is simple, just wash the dang cloth or use another one. I buy yellow cloths at the Auto store , they usually come in a 5 pack and are good for several washings. I throw them in the washing machine either by themselves or with my cleanup rags. After awhile the are not as soft so I demote them to cleaning up thinner spills and cleaning brushes.
