4afe tranny swap ?

Is there any way I can make a 4afe non overdrive car work with a 4afe overdrive trans??

you might have to try to splice up some wires and harnesses...in other words, its not worth the effort...just change it out from an auto to a manual.

If i get the wiring right will everything else work? I need to do this as quickly and cheaply as possible. I purchased this trans not knowing that it was an overdrive trans. now I need to make something work.

I would think you could use the O/D unit without hooking up the O/D. It will actualy last longer although the milage won't be as good.
