100,000 mile tuneup
Hi everyone,
I am a new member here.Being visiting this site for quite a while now,but became a member today.Got some real helpful info and tips from here. By the way, i am owner of a 97 GTP with 106,000 miles on it. Love the car. I AM PLANNIG A 100,000 MILE TUNE UP.THIS IS THE LIST OF ITEMS I AM PERFORMING.ANY SUGGESTIONS AND ADVIVE WILL BE WELCOME. 1. CHANGE SPARK PULGS ONLY TO AC-DELCO IRIDIUM 2. CHANGE BOTH BELTS(GATORBACK) 3. CHANGE ALTERNATOR AS THE BEARING SEEMS TO BE GOIN BAD(ACDELCO REMAN) 4. CHANGING FUEL FILTER(PUROLATOR) 5. CHANGING AIR FILTER(K&N) If some thinks that i am not buying the right parts or not changing something else, please let me know. Thanks |

And I can add having the tranny serviced. Owners manual recommends having the fluid cleaned/replaced and the filter replaced at 100,000 miles for normal driving, and every 50,000 for cars that have to do a lot of pulling, like up a mountain or lots of hills.
