Yeah, its the same car I have now. I was probably going 15-20. I got up under the bumper of a honda civic. That is 8800$ of damage, the car was totaled but I got it fixed for really cheap. (My mom works at a body shop) I ended up getting 5800$ from the insurance company (after my 1000$ deductable), got all the parts to fix it except the seatbelts for a little over 1500$, I got some black market airbags to reaplace my blown ones with. I ended up having enough money left over to put new suspension on the front (800$ in parts at 10% over cost), replace my brakes (a little over 600$ there), and pay my insurance 1.5 times. I made out like a bandit considering my insurance only went up 100$ for six months from it.

I was bein' cool....but that 85 yr-old man who was making a left across a double yellow and then suddenly stopping in my lane in a 45mph and then I couldn't move lanes because there was someone next to me and I was honking and braking and the moron wouldn't move so...CRUNCH! Oh, and did I mention I was on a downhill? So anyway he got double-cited and I didn't get cited at all.

But altogether I paid $2500 for the car when I bought it...then got rear-ended and got a $500 rebate, then this accident and a $2300 rebate....so I came out on top. Just paid maintenance for 1.5 yrs.
