Won't start need help
Hello,
I have a 85 F150 4.9 auto with carb. and I can't figure out this problem. The truck starts fine when cold but, after running awhile if you shut it off it won't start until it sits awhile. Has anyone else had this problem? For the life of me I can't figure this one out. Please help. any suggestions? Of course I thank you for your help

is truck running hot, more that normal, maybe time for rad flush and change thermstat, a friend of mine had same prob. his prob. was he needed to change starter because on most ford trucks i heard about, the starter is too close to the exhaust which could heat it up and cause the starter to go bad.
just a sugg. good luck.
