Bmw M3 Gtr?

Does anybody make a kit of BMW's M3 GTR? I've seen a bunch of M3s, but none with the GTR body kit? Does somebody make a GTR transkit? I could settle for that

Hi,

look in a few months at www.scaleproduction.de , I think they have announced this car some time ago, however not at the moment. Nevertheless I guess there will be a resin kit at the end of the year.

I'm not really too satisfied with the quailty of Dragon kits, so I think I'll skip on that one, but thanks for the info.

I do know a bit of German, but I can't seem to find any actual kits or transkits on skaleproduction. Aren't they supposed to be releasing an S7 sometime too?

Burago made the M3 GTR in 1/24 diecast-it's better proportioned than the Dragon kit, so it's better proportioned than the Quick Skins kit that is based on the Dragon kit. I can't vouch for it's 100% accuracy, but the one I have looks good and it was less than $10. It will be a very good basis for a full-detail model, though I'll want to glue the doors shut and rescribe those lines.

If you're looking for anything better than Burago or Dragon, you're out of luck. Auto Art did a really nice one in 1/18th scale, I'm using that model to pattern my Burago 1/24 after.

The Quik Skins transkit is a pain in the arse to build too, that's why you haven't seen one from me yet.

Just a quick note.
The Quick Skins is a transkit for the GTS 98 (?) car, based on the E36 6 cyl. model. The Scale Productions is (will be?) a M3 GTR, 2001, E46 V8 model.
Two quite different cars.

Also, the Quick Skins TK can be used with the Revell AG 318i touring cars (beside the Dragon M3), in wich case you already will have some racing parts - maybe the Dragon and Revell BMW share some molds, don't really know.
