tranny fluid

how much tranny fluid do i need if im putting a shift kit in my 700r4?
does anyone have any recomendations on what tranny fluid i should get?

I just flushed mine a couple a months ago and I think it was something like 3 or 4 quarts. Mine also has a tranny cooler though so I'm not exactly sure and I never found it in the manual about how much it needed. I guess just put 3 in there and check it, you dont want to over fill it. I think I put 5 in there at the time though and found out it was too much after we checked it so then we let some out and filled it and assumed we had enough. I check fluids in my truck twice a month prolly though so I never worry about having problems, and I always have extra fluid sittin around.
