trailer lights crv

i have a 1997 honda crv that i recentley bought a trailer hitch and wiring kit for and did what it said,remove the speaker and plug and plug trailer connector into that plug and the lights dont work.is there something else i need to do?

Was it a Honda Kit?
Did you connect the ground wire?

If i remember correctly the Honda kit doesn't come with a connector for the trailer because there are so many different types. If so it may not be correctly wired.

Green= right turn
Yellow= left turn
Brown= Taillights
White= Ground
