Re: Coilovers

wait theyre threaded to the bottom? you have em adjusted down to the bottom?! thats a 4 inch drop! You should be almost on the ground. Did your struts compress? Are your struts stock?

TOMS racing? wtf is that? hahaha man get some GC's at the least, don't fuck around with no name bunghole type suspension parts if you want to have any ride quality at all.

Re: Coilovers

Is there a plate ontop of the spring but under the top mount - if so, remove it - all it does is raise you up about 1-1.5 inches. I took them off on mine and I can still got down about 2 inches with the threads.

not sure what ur talkin about so heres a pic of the coilovers i got, and maybe u can show me on here what it is that i need 2 get rid of

as for ride quality, it doesnt seem to be bad at all right now. these are pretty stiff springs, went out lastnight and they handle the road pretty well

Remove these - and let your coils sit into the stock upper mounts - should lower you at least 1-1.5 inches.

Yea when I installed my coil overs I dont think I even used those top bushings... Not sure how safe that is tho, I think they protect the frame... But back then the car wasnt mine so...

Re: Coilovers

I've been running mine like that for about 2 years now. I originally had them on, and was at the bottom of the threads and wasn't as low as I wanted to go. So I removed them and they actually softened up the ride and I wasn't at the bottom of the threads.

Re: Coilovers

My ride sucks... Always has, the guy who had the car before my brother cut the springs... So we put in some dropzone coil overs, and tokico blues and it still rode like ass... I even raised it up some when I bought it... Might just be the el cheapo springs... I want to ride in a stock CRX one day just to see how the ride quality is... But Id sacrifice the ride quality anyday for as good as mine handles...
