Changing Spark Plug Wires, 2000 GT

Hi, I want to put new plugs and sparkplug wires in, but I have no idea how to change the wires, I heard that you have to rock the car back and forth, and roll the engine forward on the mounts, or something to the effect, So, before I do anything, I would like to know how to change the wires. Thanks guys.

Also, so I don't have to make a new topic, is there tension on the motor mounts? Because I am interested in painting them, but Do not want to take them off if there is tension, because I don’t want the engine to move, you know, so, an answer to that would be great too.

Thanks a lot.

You don't have to move the engine. The back is the pain, but can be done without too much trouble. Just take your time. Should be done in an hour and a half.

I hear you just twist and pull at the boot. And as far as the engine goes, I think if you have your emergency brake on your engine won't move at all. As long as your car doesn't move.......the whole wheels to the tranny and tranny to the engine.
