Tire Pressure versus Miles per Gallon ??
I am running my tires at 32 PSI and getting 47 mpg out of my '93 Geo Metro 5 speed.
If I raised the pressure to say, 36 PSI, would I get much better mpg's? DoctorBill |

Re: Tire Pressure versus Miles per Gallon ??
I don't think so. 32 is always what I have used in every car since day one.

I always run the tire pressure listed on the side of the tire, which is usually 44psi(but not always). It will help tire wear, prevent sidewall cracks, less rolling resistance, and less humming on the highway. Oh, and less wobbling at high speed. Better mpg too.
