after market alarm

sup folks. My car was hit in the parking lot at work the other day. Unfortunately I didn't see the assailant. But its ok only minor damage to the headlights. $500 (*sigh*) will get it right out. Anyway, I thought it was about time to invest in a car alarm. I wanna know some good alarm systems for about $350 bucks. I preferably want the kinds with 2-way receivers where you can see things that are happening to the car on your led receiver keychain. any ideas? cuz its hard to find unbiased car alarm reviews on the internet.

Re: after market alarm

viper makes a 2 way thats bad ass. starts at 180 and with a few oh la la's u could go as much as 900 bucks. the cool thing is u can get the alarm and add stuff to it down the road when wanted/ needed.

Well I got front fender damage and partial hood damage. I had to get some pliers and straighten the hood myself before it even closed properly. I said headlight cuz that was the general vicinity.

Re: after market alarm

my alarm has motion sensors around the car so if u stand next to my car for longer than 5 seconds it tells u to stand back, it has motion sensors on the inside so i can leave my t-tops out if anyone reaches in my car it goes off, if some fool has a tow truck and lifts my car it goes off, u cant touch the tires or rims, and the pager monitor tells u if a sensor or a part of the car set it off. not to mention the damn thing talks so it screams while going off to stand back. oh and not to mention the vats is still operational and it works nice with the viper. the auto start, auto windows, and a low-jack type feature can be added also and i may do that this summer. i think i spent around 800 bucks for everything so far, but somebody broke into my car a few months back and ran when the fatory system went off so u see why i spent so much, i was pissed they even touched my car. but now that has been fixed.

Re: after market alarm

What if you're getting some action in the back seat... does it say like "HEY! WATCH THE UPHOLSTERY!!." or better yet if you're getting some on the hood "I WOULDN'T DO THAT THERE IF I WERE YOU... HEY! I CAN'T SEE... HEY!!"

Re: after market alarm

lmao..... a squirl????? im dieing over here... if he jumps in my car it will set the alarm off, but u can control how sensitive u want it to be, we wont have none of that getting the nookie on the hood anymore, now its fiberglass it will bend, its a ss hood now its not smooth, and shes getting painted next week cant be scratching it up. cant get none in the back seat its laying down and the bottles are strap to it, and it wont arm unless i arm it. if someone parks close when they get out it warns them and i get a beep, kinda anoying but to be safe thats what u gotta pay and also it keeps from your car getting hit even bumped and u not knowing about it...i will see your ass and chase u down if i have 2. but over all it is nice to have and i feel safe parking her everywhere

Dude, she could scratch up your car with her ass??? I think i just pissed my pants laughing. The best would be to get some on the hood just after it's been painted! THAT would be the graphics to have... hey wait a minute... I like that, gotta talk to my wife and see if she's game.

Seriously though... fiberglass sucks, you have this completely bad-ass car, makes your woman all hot and you can't even get none on the hood. It's like the perfect height too.

Philly, you have the factory hood latches on your hood or are you using pins?
