Homemade Turboback Exhauist
I was just wondering how hard it would be for me to make my own turboback for a 92' eclipse GSX if i already have all the piping and a welder.

Re: Homemade Turboback Exhauist
do you have a pipe bender?? if you do, and know how to use it, it should be very easy, and cheap.

Re: Homemade Turboback Exhauist
I dont have a pipe bender but the shop that i got the pipeing from sayd they would give me some pre-bent pipes that they have laying around that i thought i could weld to the pipes i already have.
And i wanted to ask if i could cut the pipes at angles and then weld them together. For example if i wanted a 90 dagree bend, could i cut both the pipes at 45 dagree angles and then weld them to eachother? How would that compair to a mandral bent exhaust? |

Now, re-do your layout with a series of 90* bends similar to what you are suggesting with your cut and welded bends. Turn on the water and note what kind of flow you get. Give us a report back after you do this...

Re: Homemade Turboback Exhauist
What kind of welder? I weld exhaust systems all the time, whether its from scratch, or from a kit, they are all the same and easy. But dont try and balogne cut it to avoid bends.
