just a quick motor question

I have a 1988 Crysler FithAvenue with a 5.2L V8 (318C.I) The car's tranny is smashed, I got a buddy that has a 1994 Dakota Mark 3 with the 318 in it.. its also an automatic, my question is will the 88's motor go in and function without troubles? I know i'd have to do away with the fuel injection... any help apprechiated... ohh by the way, he gave me a sweet deal on the truck... so i will buy it if this will work.

the 88 motor will bolt in but the 94 tranny is the A-500/A-518, whick is controlled by the PCM so youll still have to find the older 727 trans to go behind the motor, and the intank fuel pump is too powerfull for the carburator so youll have to use an aftermrket pressure regulator
