Urgent question!!
If I were to unplug the TPS on a 1995 Sierra, 5.7l, would the check engine light come on, and if so, what fault code would it set?
also, how do you erase fault codes on this vehicle? finally, would the check engine light come on if you unplugged the vehicle speed sensor without driving the truck? thanks |

Yes
Check your service manual for the fault code. You erase fault codes by unplugging the negative battery cable for ten seconds. If code doesn't erase there is still a problem with that, or a related component. I would think unplugging any sensor with vehicle running would set a code fault. |
