A solution to stop revising old threads
Heres an idea that would stop the post of old threads from resurfacing. Ive been thinking about this for awhile. After a thread has not been replied in for a month its automatically closed.

Why are you guys so against old posts getting new again? There might be something that someone wants to add to an old post because something new has been found out. Old posts can teach everyone something new. Don't close old posts.

Yeah but 2 even 3 years old. Just start a new topic and refer to the old post. Link it.

Re: A solution to stop revising old threads
Like he said no reply it has either been a stupid topic or all the information has been gathered.. Just start a new thread and link it back.... Read the Guidlines, it tells you about revising old (DEAD) threads....

Ok. Maybe after six months or a year of no replies the thread should automatically close.

Yea because if someone posted in a Forum that has hardly any traffic then they should keep it open...
