Bose volume control problem
Hi I have a 2002 Maxima with a Bose 6 CD changer.
For the past 3 weeks I have a problem with the volume. Sometimes the sound is coming only from the right speakers and that lasts for few minutes or sometimes hours. I know that the car has a volume speed sensetive controls but what do they really do? Also in the cold weather for the first 30 min. the CD player skips on every CD really bad. I used a CD ceaner but that didn't really help. Is this normal for Bose to skip so much? Thanks everybody!!! |

Re: Bose volume control problem
it's a known problem with bose. there is a bad solder in the head unit and the left speaker channel cuts in and out interittently. set your balance all the way to the left speaker and turn the volume up then give it a bang next to the climate control unit, if it cuts back in, then you(and myself) are a victim of the same problem. you'll have to take the head unit out and nissan will send it to clarion for repair or replacement(some dealerships charge $250 for it) and it takes 4 long weeks to get your HU back. isn't it great to pay more for the upgraded sound system and get shitted on for it?
