I've had my A/C system replaced ($$$) and when it's on, I get cold air in front but not in the rear. Do anyone know what might be causing this? I'm afraid I'll have to take the ceiling apart to check out the air flow vents to see what's going on up there, but I don't know where to start. Can someone help me???

I had the exact same problem on my suburban last year. It ended up being a valve (the name I cannot remember) in the back, where the fan is that controls the air for the rear of the vehicle. It cost me a little over $300 and took a half a day to fix. This valve controls the amount of freon going through the back depending on the temperture of the air coming out. My local mechanic didn't want to touch it so I ended up taking it to automotive heating and air conditioning specialist.

Re: All I'm getting is hot air in my rear vents w/ the A/C on. How do I fix this.
Its called an expansion valve.

Yeah if it's not blowing cold air in the back, then it's definitely the Expansion Valve. It's a pretty easy fix, I've done several of them over the past 4 years. However, when you change this valve you should also check the fron orphice tube. I changed the valve once without checking the front system and I ended up with a reverse of what you have, I had cold air in the back and lukewarm air in the front. Be careful when putting all the airdams and bavels back, I think I messed up the bavel which switches from the heat and the cool, cause now I don't get heat in the back. lol
