Immortals vs RE XXX

Ok this is really a stupid question but i want to know one thing. Supposidly the best system down here is a dual 15" Audiobahn immortals(fucking pos) Using a audiobahn 2400 watt amp in a sealed box. I was wondering as far as quality or spl as some people have said it would crush most subs in spl. I pretty much decided on a RE XXX 18" in a 7 cuft ported box(still need some help with port size and tuning options) and most likely a ppi1500d still deciding on amp since the new hifonics amps are rated i might consider one of them. i dont want total spl but would this setup be able to put out just as much or more spl. Yeah the RE is ten times better than the immortals any day of the weak but would i make an ass of my self or would i be able put his rich boy ass to shame.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Well the audiobahn line-up is mostly SPL oriented...ad the Immortal series is one loud ass sub. Is this the NEW immortal series or the old ones? (older series was designed by DD). But anyways, SQ wise you'll walk all over him...but when it's dual SPL oriented 15's and 900 watts more...it's tough man. You'll hang with him...but you won't necessarily hand him his ass by any means.

Re: Immortals vs RE XXX

Don't be so quick to diss immortals. They are one of 2 audiobahn subs that aren't bad. Immortals will get loud as hell and the same size immortal and xxx both in optial installs the immortal will most likely win..... no will win SPL wise. Immortals do however suck major ass in sealed boxes so you may actually have a tad more ouput them him ported. You will probably not sound a shit ton better but you will sound a little better. Immortals don't sound all that bad contrary to popular belief.

Re: Immortals vs RE XXX

As long as i can hang with him considering he doesnt pay shit for anything he owns. Lately ive been seing things a lot better than it used to be, everyone was running around with audiobahn, lagacy, and mtx but lately ive seen some soundstream setups, one re setup and a really kick ass xtant setup. Yeah it is the new ones, you hear more rattle than bass(00 blazer) but im going to at least use sound dampening.

Re: Immortals vs RE XXX

from what ive heard about RE you should be able to beat him in SQ and atleast hang with him in SPL, the immortal are LOUD, ive heard a dual 15" enclosure[ an audiobahn pre made] and it was definatly loud, you coulnt really hear the idividual notes though, and the trunk was rattled so much it wasnt even funny.
