now my question is it worth to mod a auto tsi? or am i just wasting my time and $. it feels quick and if i get it i wana do 3" cat back, 3" test pipe, 3" down pipe and ported ev0 3 o2 housing, a intake, and mbc and a wabro 255intank and safc, and boost about 14-16psi..

does anyone know how quick i would be?

im guesing about mid 14's and about 200whp if im luck?

I call bullshit on that. Autos are not slow. Infact, most of the fastest drag cars are automatic. Unless he's doing auto-x, there is nothing wrong with an A/T.

I'd say jump on it. It's not easy finding an AWD with miles like that.

The Talons are undervalued, 5k seems like a reasonable buy to me. Automatics get you heavier, at a disadvantage until TC and valve body are updated, and get you dissed.

Add injectors and an intercooler (in addition to the mods you listed) and you're looking at something that could do 350whp. Tuning is still key.

350WHP on the T25 is impossible.

Re: Re: chance to get a TSI

yea i need a super 16g or a 20g, i heard the t25 isnt good for more then 230whp and dosent take you to redline. so worth messing with a auto tsi or just ditch it?

Re: chance to get a TSI

It is up to you. IPT (Import performance transmissions) makes some nice shift kits, end clutch assys, etc.

I read "evo 3" and passed over the "o2" next to it. But yeah, you can get 350 HP from a t25... lol

You won't hit far above stock HP without upgrading the turbo, and with the support mods you mentioned, I'm not sure why you aren't considering it. If you change that evo 3 o2 housing to an evo 3 16g you're looking at some good numbers. All theoretical at this point, but something to look into.

I did the end clutch on mine, that isn't hard. The valve body isn't much more difficult. Moving on to the torque convertor is difficult. On an auto, you do these things in lieu of stick mods like an upgraded clutch.

Re: chance to get a TSI

so is a auto realible when i start to mod it or will i break the tranny, and compared to stick how fast is it in a drag race? to add to mods ill probably do a evo8 16g for now but does any one know about times i will out down adn approximate hp ratings with the mods

my main concern is that i will break the tranny and if i do i dont have the $ to fix it. so how strong will it be.

Re: chance to get a TSI

That is hard to judge. Depending on past owners/drivers on how well the drove the car and didnt destroy the tranny. For high hp you will prolly in the end want to do a rebuild on the tranny. Like stated before you can buy kits for parts for the tranny that will take the higher hp. But in my opinion if the auto tranny is in good working conditions then I believe it show work wit what mods you are saying.
