Hey beginner with questions

I have recieved through inheritance an old 1977 Yamaha 400, i am hoping i can convert it into a street legal bike. The previous owners seemed to have thought the same, it has blinkers and flood lights. I was wondering what my options are for converting this bike to sreet legal status. Also any sites that would offer low price parts would be great.

Re: Hey beginner with questions

Consult with your local Department of Motor Vehicles. I take it you will need a mirror, a functioning tail/brake light, a light for the license plate, street legal tires, a funtioning head light that is street legal, I think in some cases you need a steel gas tank, not plastic, yours is probably steel.
