I'm trying to fix a few things up on my car, and I'd appreciate it if anyone could help!

First of all, my speedometer only works intermittently. If I took this to a mechanic, how much generally do you think it would cost?

I also got rear ended a while back, and the plastic trim covering the bumper is cracked... Is a junkyard the only place I could find this trim, and about how much should I expect to be charged?

The plastic trim molding can be bought at bavauto.com under 'bumper components'.

Re: 1989 BMW 325i

sometimes E30 gauge problems can be attributed to the circuit board behind the instrument cluster. generally its loose solder points or connections, but sometimes can be board failure. you may be able to find more help in the technical articles at bmwe30.net
