Re: JDM d15b swap?

The swap is basically the same as a D16Z6 swap... With a few minor differences... A few tips I can give u...

Buy the P08 ECU! I made a mistake and got the P28 ECU... The P08 is for the D15B, the P28 is for the D16Z6... They will both work, but the P28 has a few quirks that will cost more in the end... The D15B runs on a 1 wire O2 sensor, so the P08 looks for a 1 wire O2 sensor... The D16Z6 has a 4 wire O2, so the P28 ECU will be looking for a 4 wire O2... So if u use a P28 with the D15B u will have to buy a 4 wire O2... Also the D15B being a JDM engine dosnt have a VTEC pressure switch, its built into the P08 ECU, if u use a P28 it will look for this switch and will throw a code since u dont have it... For this u will have to either get a pressure switch, or splice the wire for the pressure switch to the VTEC switch... The P28 will also run a tad rich since its for a 1.6 liter engine and the D15B is a 1.5 liter...

These also other differences, such as the purge control is non existent on the D15B and it is on D16Z6... Off the top of my head cant think what else...

I have mine just about ready to swap in... Just need to find the time to do it...
