check engine light!
My check engine light came on so I had the codes checked, read there was a misfire. Replaced plugs and wires, still says misfire. I can feel it when I drive too. I don't know what the problem is. Could it be bad gas (I just replaced the fuel filter). Don't think it's the coil pack case the new plugs are not fried. Any comments are welcome, and thanks in advance.

(good movie: Blockbuster or Hollywood Video) OK hey I see your request, Did you let the gas gage get below the 1/4 mark? This code comes up (misfire) if you let the gas get real low like under 1/4 to almost touchin E....Clear the codes, fill the car with gas, (i know its almost $3.00 a gallon) then make sure the gas cap is on evenly and snug.

Could possibly be a coil pack too. It should tell which cylinder the misfire was in too...this could help your diagnosis.

Re: check engine light!
If you have access to a scanner it will list all cyls. and the number of misfires. This will help you identify the cause.

Re: check engine light!
Probably a coil. quick coil check by removing spark plug wire at idle. Each coil runs two cylinders the four cylinders up front will tell the tale. Just remove wire at idle and listen to spark sound when it jumps to ground. hold the wire about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from top of spark plug and you will hear a different spark sound from the bad coil. Then change only the bad coil. Works for me

Re: check engine light!
A very possible culprit could be clogged / dirty injector(s). A fuel injector purge (60 to 100 $ at a shop) would solve this problem, if that is the case. Clogged fuel injectors are a common problem.
