Vibrating Brakes, 95 GT Mustang
I have a 5-speed '95 Mustang 5.0lt.
When I brake I getting a vibrating through the brake pedal and the streering wheel. The harder I brake the stronger it gets. I've checked the brake fluid level and it's full, I wonder whether this is caused by air bubbles in the brake lines and I need to bleed them or something more major? I have to get a state inspection next month and need to get this fixed beforehand, any advice and suggestions are welcomed.

most likely its your rotors. they are probably out of round. just wait till it gets inspected, tell them about it and they can turn them for you.

yep, either that out your pads have worn and are making akward grooves.

yeah it's most likely your rotors. i had the same problem and when i got my rotors turned and new pads put on the shake disappeared and the braking was firmer and smoother. any local machine shop will turn your rotors for you.

If you get a pulseing beating feeling from higher speed stops, and slightly less noticeable at lower speed stops.. your rotors are almost for sure out of round, get them machined (aka turned) and put new factory pads on the vehicle, as the pads are probally deformed along with the rotors..
ABS brakes can also surge a bit but its nothing like the rotors being out of round, rotors kinda pulse and punch.. If you had air in the lines it would be spongy.. and please put FACTORY breaks on, they will last much longer, and wear much more consistently.. Also NEVER use an impact wrench when mounting tires.. hand tighten them in a star pattern, and torque to factory specs.. as not doing so can cause premature rotor and break wear as well as uneven wear (makes sense huh? the wheels not being evenly torqued allows the wheels to wobble a bit offing the break and rotor alignment.)

Was the shaking only when you stopped? Because when ever I turn on my car and push the brake in, it shakes like crazy... Is this the same problem or???
