2000 neon engine swap

i am looking for ideas here. I have a 2000 neon with the base 2.1 or 2.0L, automatic. i want to get a more performace engine. i have looked at adding performance parts, but it just isnt enough.

i have read a few posts about the 2.4L stratus swap. would this work for my application? Are there any other engine swaps that i can do fairly easy?

any ideas or opinions will be appreciated.

I don't know if the mounts will be the same but you could get your hands on the Neon SRT engine when they come out along with the six speed tranny.

how hard would he be to take a automatic and turn it into a manual, like you suggested???

it seems to me it would be a much bigger project to do something like that.

You already have a new neon so when the srt will come out just go and trade it it would be easier.
