Engine Cleaning.

I want to clean my engine and all around it.After staying on the engine cleaner(whats the best to use?) Can I used a high pres.sprayer or just a water hoses.and what should I not spray the water on? Just want a clean engine.

I use Simple Green. Make sure you rinse right away that stuff is kinda mean on rubber. Cover the power steering pump 'cuz there's a vent hole on the cap. just use a garden hose to rince. high-pressure can force the water in the electronics.
