I just found out that an ordinance was passed in a local town, where any african american found in the city past dark who does not live there, will be put in jail.... WTF This makes me sick that this kind of shit still goes on.

Then it made me think of a city ordinance that is in the town that i went to school at, even though i doubt they still enforce it, it shouldn't even be there any more, it should never have been there. Where any african american person found on the streets after 6 oclock is HUNG.... They've never gotten rid of it, I hate living in this podunk redneck area, this kind of crap is ridiculous.

If it has been there for the past 200 years, than it's not necessarily racist. Back than just about everyone was racist, simply because of lack of knowledge. People actually thought that African Americans were inferior just because of their skin color, they didn't know better. It's probably not enforced anymore, and nobody bothered to change it.

Ok sorry i didn't emphasize everything a little better. I'll try and see if i can find a link. The towns are Fisher and Villa Grove Illinois. Fisher just implemented the jail one like a month ago. And VG has always had the hanging law but they've never gotten rid of it, which is pathetic, i went to school at VG but i never lived there thank god. And i wouldn't have gone at all if i had known then that it used to be a huge KKK town.... But basically yes, if you're black and you dont live in the town of Fisher, and it's night time, you get put in jail for the night and sent home in the morning.... I'll see if i can find any records of this, i know this because my cousins g/f lives in that town, and i guess a bunch of the citizens wanted this.... pathetic.

Ku Klux Klan was a religious group, when it was formed. They believed the black man was worshipping a flase god. This latest 3rd era has tried to revive itself as a religious group, but it is still represented by wannabe's as racist. How do I know this? I did history reports for two years in junior high on the Ku Klux Klan.

It's similar to the biker group "Hell's Angels" in California. They started out as a group of friends that would ride around. Some wannabe badasses joined and gave them a bad name. How do I know this? My dad and his buddy started the group.

Better, fictional, example; A sports team is VERY successful. Two or three players take a night out on the town, get piss drunk, assault some people, accidentally kill one, and while drunk name a couple of their teammates. These guys get prosecuted, no le-way given, but it still ruins the reputation of the entire team, even years later it is still talked about and exxagerrated how the "team" went on a "rampage" throught the streets of (city) and killed a "bunch" of people.

yes i see your point. I don't get why people feel the way about skin color. I live in arkansas also and yes there are RED-neck people here. It depends on where you stay.

Jet-Lee i think your dad lied to you... I really doubt he started the Hells Angels. They're the biggest biker gang in the world, with chapters in over 10 countries, and they're one of the biggest organized crime groups in the world. In some areas they're just as powerful or more powerful than the Italian Mob, Russian Mob, Yakuza, Triads, etc.
