brake light

My first thread
I have a 2001 intrigue, 5 month old member of the family
the brake pedal does not come back all the way, when I park the brake light stays on. I simply pull the brake pedal up with my toes, that's all it takes, brake lights off.. Obviously, it is not the way to fix it, anybody know what's up, I believe the Cruise control does not kick in for the same reason

Re: brake light stays on

nobody answered this one, but here is what the mechanic did
under the steering wheel is somesort of button or switch
he moved it around and the brake pedal shifted foward towards the driver. I may have hit the area with the CLUB (anti theft device) needless to say, the brake light problem fixed. the cruise control still does not work..

Re: Re: brake light stays on

when the brake pads start to wear the pedals will start to fall closer to the floor. A good brake bleed job will get that pedal back up.

Your brake pedal pressure and braking power are still good? --Right? The brake pedal should not be going all the way to the floor.
