o4 civic ex camshaft
i was wondering if anyone knew where i could find a good performance camshaft for my 04 civic ex, i have an aem intake , mugen power header ,and a tsudo fireball exhaust. i figured an upgraded cam is next inline but i havent located any. any suggestions would be awesome .
by the way i love the 7th gen civics with the d17 sohc,no matter what anyone says ,my goal is to keep it NA but get about 220 hp out it ,and spray anther 40 or 50 horse, any suggestions for this would be great to . no turbos or superchargers for me , i know it will be tough but i will prove it can be done. civic's are and always will be the original tuner car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Re: o4 civic ex camshaft
D17a2 cams can be bought from Crower now. It took them 4 years but they produce a cam for that engine this excludes the D17a1's this will only be available with regrind, and thats expensive. The a2 cam will run you $375 with $302 for the spring/retainer kit (#84166). So this is the price you are looking at for Na set up. Mind you there is only an NA cam, turbo applications arent produced yet. Here are specs from Crower
Int Mid - Dur @ 050 193, lobe lift .237 Exh Lobe - Dur @ 050 180, lobe lift .190 You can only get them direct from Crower. http://www.crower.com |
