97 Sunfire Cigarette lighter

Hi there, any idea how I can replace the cigarette lighter unit, looks like the whole inside is shot. Just bought the car so don't know what happened to it, maybe the top was left down and it filled up with water, thanks, Jer one...

They aren't hard to replace. You need to remove the area where it is mounted. Once you get the back of the lighter, there is a nut on the barrel that unscrews. Once the lighter is removed, simply unplug it and replace with a new one.

Depending on where it is located in your car you may have to remove the console or the dash. This will allow you access. Unfortunately I don't know where the lighter is located in your car to give you specific instructions.

Hi, it's in the console, I picked up a manual today and I think it might be in there, thanks for heading me in the right direction,
