ok when i was in high school 10th grade there was a art helper that went to buy a Cavalier this would have been in 01 or 02 and the owner of the dealer ship came out and talked to him and gave him a once in a life time chance he got a test car it was a z24ss it was supercharged he had to bring it in every 10k miles to have it check and they gave him a rental car for a week or two anyways my reason for wrighting this is to see if anyone had ever heard anything like this befor if so what ever happen to these cars how many were there any info would be nice thanks

Never heard of it. Sounds WAY cool. Maybe it was a Dealer package. Sort of like in Louisville all the Ford dealers used to sell a "Chaser" F-150 each year for the Derby. Hope somebody has info on this Cavi.

im pretty sure the SS was just a dealership rice badge. But yes there was a supercharged cavalier made in 2002. But you can find the charger on 00-02 Z24 models. I have one myself, its a decently fast car, high 14's stock, with mods low 14s are pretty easy to hit.

This integral "roots-type" supercharger and manifold design was developed to maximize both engine horsepower and torque without sacrificing durability. Vehicle Control Module (VCM) calibration is a key factor in both performance and driveability. This supercharger has its own unique calibration designed specifically for 2000 to 2002 model year 2.4L Twin Cam engines.
