Re: new driver

Can't tell you that, as I am not an Accord guy. But I can tell you that it would be wise to hold off on any aggressive driving until the car has had it's "second break-in' if Grandma was a typical older driver. Or if the car didn't get used much.

Jumping from easy or infrequent use to being driven hard can tend to shock some components of engine, brakes and tranny that haven't seen hard use. By easing into it slowly, you can avoid most trouble.

Re: new driver

Intake, header, and exhaust are the most common beginning mods. Together they may net you 15 or so hp. How fast/powerful you really want to go will determine what mods you want to look into. Forced induction such as a turbo will run into the thousands, but will have a much more significant boost in hp than a few bolt on modifications. Also I'm sure you've heard this a billion times, but be careful. A 90 Accord was my first car, and even stock I got myself into enough trouble. Try to use common sense, etc. Not trying to talk down to you, just saying, cops tend to enjoy pulling over 16 year old with modified cars speeding around...so use common sense. Good luck.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
