Ext warranty policy...
I got a letter in the mail promoting an extended warranty plan for the GP. Its from the Warranty Corporation. and is a unlimted mileage plan with a one time deductable of $100 on first claim, $0 on other claims with the following options:
Powertrain: every moving part in engine psiton rings rod, bearings, valves, pushrods, head, block, cyclinder, manifolds, oil pump, valve covers, etc Tranny parts OR Expanded warranty all above plus electrical suspension instrumentation brake components body components 1 month premium is $14 for Powertrain and$20 for the expanded warranty. 1 yr premium for Powertrain is $141 and $200 for Expanded. Has anyone see this type of coverage or even this company? If you knew that the head was leaking antifreeze you could sign up and save big bucks. Or the tranny issue alot of people are having. what do you think?

Re: Ext warranty policy...
I had a warranty of this type before and it paid for a portion of my transmission repairs on my GTP. They wanted to put a used transmission in so I put the money toward a full rebuild. It depends on the company and the fine print whether it is worth the money. I would check with the consumer protection agency in your area to see if they have had complaints about the company. The Better business bureau is also a good place to start as well as your state attorney general's office.
