It wasnt the coil!!!!!!

Ok, i replaced the coil with a brand new one, and still it wont start. now i poured some gas down through the tbi into the intake, and the car still didnt start. im starting to think either spark plugs or distributor. does my car have a electronic control module in the distributor. does it sound like the distributor to you guys?

well, changing the plugs, wires, cap and rotor are basic maintanence and is fairly inexpensive, so i'd go ahead and change those and see where it gets you. If it still doesn't work then i'd start looking at the distributor. wait and see if anyone else has a better idea tho. actually before you replace anything, run some spark tests.

Ignition module Tango Uniform, if you don't get spark of any kind. Pull the cap and rotor, the module is under there. Also while in there look at the reluctor (round sprocket looking thing) and make sure it is still attached to the shaft. If it is, replace the module...but ONLY use an AC Delco unit or you'll be replacing it again real soon.

I would do that espically if you don't know when the last time any of that was changed. It could be something like 1 of your sparkplug wires wnet bad....

And then if it isnt getting any spark more than likely its the distributor and remember to get a new rotor with the distributor. Hope this helps.

when you take the Ignition control module out, you can take it to autozone (or another store) and they can test it for you to see if it works before you replace it. when you put it back in (or the new one) mae sure you put thermal grease on the bottom, otherwise it will soon be destroyed by heat and you will have to do it all over again.

if a few plug wires were bad u would still get spark... just not for all cylinders

it was the ecm, and i also put a new rotor button on. now my car actually starts as soon as i turn the key over. but it still has a miss, but it has set for a while and the spark plugs are probally in need replacing.
