codes
anbybody know what a code 16 is? and how you can try and hear the fuel injectors clicking? especially when the engine only runs untill its warm then it dies.

Code 16 - Fuel Injector
You can listen to the injectors with a mechanic stethoscope or do it the easy way. measure the resistance between injector terminals. If the resistance isn't between 0.6-1.6ohm then that injector is bad. |

most likely:
main relay the solder joints go bad and then you get no contact and then your fuel pump won't turn on, setting off the code 16 (OBD 0 computers aren't very specific). Do you have trouble starting your car after it's sat for a few minutes, like it will just turn and turn over with nothing, but then it will start in a min or two? That's the main relay. I had the same problem and just fixed mine yesterday, hardest part is getting to the damn thing. |
