now here's why everything completely SUCKS. ughhhh.
yesterday around 6 in the evening i was driving down this two-lane one-way road with my friend in the passenger seat of my car. there were parallel parked cars on both sides of the road and i was just pulling away from a traffic light in the right lane with nobody around me. i get up to speed at 35 mph about which was the speed limit and then out of nowhere i see this boat of a car pulling out from an alley-way on the right side. i'm like "oh crap!" and i quickly brake and try to swerve around this person. to makes things worse.....this person sees me and keeps on driving and hits my right fender just after my corner light and the bumper of their car just enters my car as i drive by it completely destroying my sideview mirror, my moldings, my door, quarter panel and fender. i'm lucky i didnt get a flat tire or even a head on collision if i wouldnt have swerved out of the way. so i pull over and this person pulls over behind me and i get out of my car and it turns out to be a really old lady in the 60s driving a 1987 dodge. i look at her car and she has no damage at all! i ask this lady if she's okay and all and then i call my parents and meanwhile i give her my information so she can write it down and i go to my car to get a piece of paper and pen to write down her info. i call the cops and the cop shows up not too much later. before the cop showed up i wrote down her driver's license info and i started to write down her insurance info and then the cop asks for it and won't give it back to me so i could finish writing the stuff down. he told me that he will give me a report number for the report which includes all of her insurance information. so then after all this crap my dad shows up and flips out on me. he yelled at me for not finishing copying down the insurance info and i told him what the cop told me and that the cop took the stuff away from me. he still got mad and didnt wanna call our own insurance company. he doesnt want to take part in any of this so now i have to try to get a copy of the report to call the lady's insurance company to report what happened quicker. here are pictures:





so what do you think i should do? the kelly blue book says that my car is worth 2,700 bucks but i think my car would be considered totaled because of the damage and stuff. so i don't know. any suggestions or comments?

Vlad you car was finally getting out of its rice stage and into its nice stage. That really sucks hard. If you need any parts let me know, i'll hook you up since i have that hatchcrap sitting at dans house still.

ouch, that fucking sucks, i'd say get a new fender and door, then take it to a body shop to get the 1/4 pulled out

hey Vlad i feel for u man, its good your ok and that your car is still driveable, it looks bad but it really isnt. go to the junkyard and get yourself a new fender or get one online..only thing that sucks with that is paying more for shipping then the product itself and well a week or two of some bondo and you'll be good!!

yea, the cop was being a dick. he was so careless about what happened and ignored alot of the stuff i tried to say. he said that i should call my insurance company within 24 hours of the accident. but my parents are keeping me from doing so because they don't want to get our insurance raised for the accident even though it wasn't my fault. thanks alot for the advice and comment guys. and brian, i might have to stop by sometime soon.

Ouch. I don't see why the cop wouldn't let you copy her information. Maybe you should report this to his supervisors. I'm guessing you haven't gotten an estimate yet on the repairs?

Not always true. Here you have to wait ten days before you can got pick up a copy. A girl hit me and said right in front of the cop, me, my brother, mom, and dad that she didn't see me. Well the cop didn't put that on the report. Her insurance company wouln't let me call and claim, I had to wait a month before she did it.

Then she lied and said she didn't Claim dismissed...needless to say we are going to court on the 31'st of this month. Bad thing is it was so long ago the cop doesn't remember, and she has a lawyer. Plus all the pictures and estimates we got my dad had. Well he passed away Dec. 20th and we can't find them anywhere... Guess I better be very convincing lol.

One other thing, when they looked at my car they said that anything over $1300 and they would total it. Thats for a MINT Si...goodluck, hope they don't total it bro.

vlad seriously man, im all about helping you fix your car. Whenever I have time when im not working or going to school im 100% wanting to help you. even if we have to bondo it for now. Im pretty good with bondo and Dan is really good at body work too. if you want, take a drive to dans house sometime this week if you have time after 9:00 pm and me and dan will look at it for you. I really want to get your car back to looking pretty again, you turned it around so good.

well were ever you live sucks, when i got in a wreck i had the report in my hand when i left... i wouldnt of left without her info or the report.

whoa...that really sucks. you parents suck even more. jer's si was just backed into. we called the the lady's ins within an hr. they called her, she admitted there was an accident. days later the adjuster was out to look and he put a check in the mail the next day.

i had to call and report it to my ins but my ins didn't go up. they merely need it for their records. if it is not your fault, your ins will not go up. the only time your ins goes up is if your ins has to pay for your or the other partie's car. basically your parents are screwing you from getting your car fixed

Yep same damage I think mine was a tad bit worse but it was going to be $3500 to repair the car so they totalled it. Good thing was I bought it back for $100. But didnt keep it sold it after I striped it for $300. Hear is a couple pics of mine.
