What Is This ?
I know some of you 'hard-core' modders have done something with this useless piece of space.
 It's too narrow for my wallet (no money just pics) and my cigarettes won't stay in it.... WHAT IS IT USED FOR ???

I take it you have 2 wheel drive..... or the manual 4 wheel drive.......That space is for the electronic 4 wheel drive buttons.....

I've wanted to find switches or use the factory 4x4 ones there to control accessories. Maybe electric cutouts or auxilary lights.

I've wondered about that myself. Why would they put a 'pocket' in there and not a flat cover plate?

i stick my cell phone in there and leave it, i usually forget to get it out ever so conveniently.....i hate having a lo jack

I used that space to mount 3 toggle switches for lights anda siren ina 02 Tahoe. Got apiece of black metal, cut it to size, mounted the switches on it and mounted it behind the dash trim piece...looks factory. I'll get pics if I can.
