Well for starters a simple thing to check is the throttle body. Some Multiports are quite sensitive to build up in the area around the throttle plate and idle air control motor. Pull the rubber flex tube off the throttle body and take a light and have a look. Open the throttle plate up too and take a peak. If there is a black film of build up clean it off with a rag and cleaner etc. Remove the IAC too and take a look at it and clean it off. Also the egr vavle on some models get worn causing it to run rough etc. Can try tapping it with something to see it it seats better. Does it have any computer codes?? There is many possiblities that could cause this problem.

Also make sure there is no visible vaccum leaks, broken hoses etc. That the plugs, secondary ignition wires, air filter & fuel filter are all up to par. Does it run fine othewise? No problem accelerating , good power etc??

This may help you pull the codes out:
