Sebring Convertibles

I'm interested in buying a used Sebring Convertible. What have your experiences been? Are you happy with yours? Anyone have any horror stories?

Body Style

I order to afford this car, I think I'm looking at a '98 or 99.

Thumbs up

Nothing is better than a coupe. :silly2:

No seriously, if you are going to get a 'bring, do not get the convertable. The coupe has admirable performance, handling, speed, LOOKS, aftermarket support, and respectable maintenace.

Oh....and unless you are a girl, ask yourself if you really want a convertable....

Funny that someone posted a comment about rather having a Miata over a Sebring Convertible. I had a 12,000 mile 1996 Miata that I traded on a 1996 Sebring Conv. I was tired of the "girl car" and "cute car" comments I got with the Miata. As far as the "girl car" comment, hell yeah the Sebring Conv is a girl's car......they ask me for rides all the time. I literally get coments everyday about my black JXi, things like "nice car" and "what year is that"? As far as the coupe being better than the Conv, who wants to blend into traffic with just another ho-hum, average looking, looks faster than it is "sporty-coupe"? You may get there in your coupe a little quicker, but I will look better getting there, with a car load of 3 blonde chics.

PS...nice quote Banchi. I think the "Barney" forum is somewhere else.

WOW, it's a shirt? Oh well then it's not childish at all, I'm sorry. Yeah, I guess I'm pretty fly in my JXi, a just a little more than I would in a 92 Plymouth Acclaim. I think my grandmother had one of those K-Cars. I shouldn't crack on your car, I had a Daytona when I was in high school, so I know how boring a K-Car can be. If you had a car that didn't ride on 1979 technology, than maybe you could be a "playa" to. But I suppose that I can't have a normal conversation with a dude that quotes shirts talking about "poop".

OMG
As if being a playa had anything to do with a car.
If you were one youd know it.
lol
If a nice car makes you a playa
does a shoddy one make you inpotent?

haha

a 2000 Conv. Jxi, roof leaks a little when washing it, brake problems , very minor, (cant blame that on the car though, thats all mechanic work there) uh, the wind buffering at high speeds is pretty bad, meaning a good deal of turbulence, but i dont mind it, the Coupe has many more aftermkt. parts. but overall id say its good, oh yeah the power mirrors are malfunctioning but thats my fault....

is it true that at 80,000 miles a 98 Sebring Convertible isnt worth buying cause its too worn out. Someone told us that chrysler engines dont last as long as other car engines so at 80,000 miles it isnt worth buying. (other than the mileage there was nothing wrong with the car)
