crank position sencer problem
Ive got a 1988 jeep wrangler. I have just installed a fuel inj. eng.and removed the carb. eng.The new eng is a 4.0l inline 6cyl.I am having a problem with my crank position sencer.
They keep going out.has anyone else had this problem? I am trying to find a fix. These cheep sencers are starting to get expensive

Re: crank position sencer problem
It sounds like it's getting too much voltage which is causing it to fail. I'd make sure your alternator isn't over charging your battery. The crank position sensor on my '99 JGC gets its power from a voltage regulator on the PCM (Engine Computer).
