Light won't come on why?

my light for my speedometer won't come on so I couldn't see how fast I'm goin at night. I changed the bulb and it still won't work but the other lights work just fine whats the problem?anyone had this happen to them?any advice or thoughts?

I would check the socket for power when the head lights are triggered. May just be a damaged wire.

ok

what wires would I check(and what colors and such are the wires) and how would I check them without shockin myself?

You're not going to gst shocked, it is a low volt system, Check the socket with a test light to make sure you are getting power. This may sound silly but is the replacement bulb good, I've replaced bulbs in the past only to have a bad replacement bulb.( just a thought). Any way if you are not getting power to the socket you should trace back the wires from the socket checking for a bad wire or a pinch or cut in a wire.
