Question Bay above the radio - 92 T-bird

I just purchased a '92 T-bird. Above the radio seems to be a 3/4 sized slot for something. There's a blank panel on it now but it looks like some kind of option like a CD player or something could go there. Anyone know what that's for?

I believe they put a cd player. And the SCs switches there.

Not sure about the CD player, but I know the an equalizer for premium sound systems fit.

Thanks for the info! Now here's a stupid question: Are all the Thunderbirds wired for these things? If I was to find one of these displays would it work if there wasn't one from the factory?

the harness might be there to plug the VMM into, but none of the sensors are. eh, maybe you have a factory freak. check your coolant resovoir.. if you have a sensor that's hanging out of it, then you got the sensors for the vmm.
