Re: Swap pics, 56k... it may take a while

It was about 700 shipped I believe, drop an email to filter777@gmail.com thats who I was dealing with, Great guy.
The engine I recieved was spotless, but I def. did have to replace the valve cover gasket and dist. ring gasket, it was leaking a shit load of oil.

Then I got my conversion harness to obd-1 from a guy off of HMT, beautiful work, and my chipped ecu came from another guy off of HMT, another great guy to deal with.

very very nice!!!

Only one thing, I would not put the coil that far away. You will lose curent, the shorter the better.
But I love the swap. It looks factory.

Yeah I know, but it puts out way more spark than it needs so it does aight. I just kinda like it over there b/c its out of the way and looks decent.

Re: Swap pics, 56k... it may take a while

Was it a SI or HF originally? Looks good man, i just did pretty much the same swap in my HF and i love that motor. I am curious though, For people that have driven a CRX w/ a b16 and a SOHC Vtec CRX, How big of a difference is it as far as 0-60 and a 1/4 mile, just guess-ta-mating. Cause the SOHC vtec gets the crx movin pretty good so i was just curious as to how big a difference it is.

Re: Swap pics, 56k... it may take a while

the msd setup has been on 3 cars over the past 5 years so exact price I don't remeber, But I think it was about 200, and its an Si with 67,000 miles, but its still like 15 years old so it needs work.

And yeah this engine def. does scoot, can't wait to run it at the track for sure!

Re: Swap pics, 56k... it may take a while

it deffinatly suprised me, and i am running a HF tranny, but it's cool cause i can go up to 95mph in second and it actually doesn't take to long to wind it out. I need to get a passanger w/ a stopwatch and see how long it take for 0-60 but it wouldn't suprise me to be under 6 or 7 sec., but i need to time it to be sure cause what i think the time might be don't mean shit untill i can get it on a stop watch.
