Replacing Driver Side Mirror

Has anybody in here ever replaced their side mirror on there Grand Prix? I have a 99 GTP, and I need to replace the drivers side mirror. I would take it to a body shop, but if I can do it myself it would save me some $$$.

Pull the door panel. Should be obvious after that. 3 bolts sticking through, I think, with nuts on them.

Send me a PM with your email address. I'll send you a PDF file with everything you need, even have to replace just the mirror.

Yeah,
...add to above response--
That is what I did for the sister-in-laws '95. The problem was matching the paint color (for '95)---assuming you mean replacing the whole assembly. I do not believe you can do less than that from studying the old mirror. The wiring (if powered?) is a simple disconnect harness inside the door. If you have played mechanic before---opening a door panel is not a big deal if you have patience and keep track of what you are doing so as to reverse the procedure in reassembly.

Good luck.
