97' advice...

Our 97 Tracer (escort) needs rear struts/springs, springs in the front, all new ball bearings, a right lower control arm, that damn airbag light comes on all the time, and i think the engine is started to die....would you say its worth it to fix everything or just get a new car? Im just lookin for some advice, thinking about it i should probably get a new car concidering to fix everything is probably well over 1,000 dollar range...

well the reliability ratings i have seen of the cars is very high. Take each repair as needed. The check engine light could be anything and could be something as minor as the gas cap not on right. Comes down to personal decision.

If you want a new car you should get one. It will give you more reliable service and you won't have to be walking home someday. However, It is always cheaper to get your car fixed. a $1000 is only 4 months of car payments and insurance would be much more for a new car than an older one. Not to mention sales tax. It comes right down to money saved vs. money spent. The new car salesman will get into your back pocket guaranteed.
