924s vs bmw m3

One of my buddies claims that his 1987 porsche 924s with about 175-180 hp smoked a brand new BMW M3 both automatic. i dont believe him just wonderin what you guys thought

924's are like mid 15 second cars. the current m3 in auto is faster then 6 speed ( most of the time ) those are low 13 second cars trapping around 107mph. in other words, the m3 can be 2 gears higher then it should be and still smoke that porsche.

Exactamundo. I'm betting on the M3 not racing. Even a heavily modded 924 turbo would have a tough time against a stock E46 M3.

SMG Transmission is usually faster then anything, including Ferrari's Sequential transmission.

Even an E36 M3 should be able to pull on an 87' 924s.
