Gauges don't work
Hi all:
My daughter just came home tonight with a new problem on her 95 Cirrus. None of the gauges work. Checked all fuses, no problem. Idiot lights seem to work fine. I tried to put the instrument cluster in diag mode per the Haynes manual but no go. Where is the body control module located? Want to reseat cables for CCD signals. This car is a full time job, my friends. Be afraid, very afraid......Stan Never mind. After reading other postings I thinks I need to pull the instrument panel and check solder joints. You're on the right track, but wanted to warn you that it isn't easy to resolder the loose joints. After my first try didn't work, I had to lightly scrape the circuit board copper to remove the black residue, then the solder held and the problem hasn't repeated itself. Hope you don't have to take out the instrument panel twice like I did.
