Hood Locks?

Anyone know of any way to lock a fiberglass hood that uses the pins, not the factory hood latch?

I thought of using the locking hood pin sets by Mr Gasket, but they say they MUST be used in conjunction with the factory hood latch system. Is that complete BS or a valid warning?

I'm at a loss, I'm gonna put the kill switch in next week, but if anyone can open my hood, they could always do something ignorant like cut the plug wires, bend the fuel lines or something.
